3. USE OF CA FACILITIES HOUSE-GUEST POLICY At its regular monthly Board meeting on January 14, 2004, the Community Association Board approved new policies regarding the use of CA facilties by house-guests. Here is the final wording of Policy 6.04.B.2:
"An owner can receive a Guest Card permitting a Houseguest to use the facilities unaccompanied by a member, subject to approved club/activity rules, for up to 30 days annually at no charge.
"During the second, third and fourth month of his/her visit, a weekly fee of $10.00 per Guest Card will be charged for a Houseguest to use CA facilities.
"After four (4) consecutive months, a Houseguest will be considered a resident, and will be charged the normal pro rata share of membership dues effective on the date of first prior payment of the $10.00 weekly fee. The fees paid will be credited to the pro rata share due. Pro rata reimbursement of the membership dues will be based on the date the individual ceases to be a resident."
At this same meeting, the CA Board struck down Policy 6.04.G because it covered much of the same material as above.

5. WATERING YOUR LAWN
Assumptions are that your lawn is established (not brand new sod) and that you control the timing of the irrigation (and not your Home Owners' Association). The restrictions are as follows:
This item was updated January 20, 2008:
The Hillsborough County Commission has specified the following lawn watering times for Sun City Center sprinkler systems:
1. Lawn watering is permitted only one day per week.
2. Addresses ending in:
0 or 1: Mondays but not between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.
2 or 3: Tuesdays but not between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. 4 or 5: Wednesdays but not between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. 6 or 7: Thursdays but not between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. 8 or 9: Fridays but not between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.
No single address (Group irrigations) are permitted on Fridays before 8, after 6. Some HOAs have made other special arrangements with the county but this is only for groups of homes under common watering management.
Note that the golf courses and medians are irrigated with reclaimed water; these rules do not apply to them.
It makes no difference if you are using potable water from the county, or have your own well, or pump out of a lake. If you have a new lawn, or have installed sod over at least half of your irrigation area, call 275-7094. Follow the directions for "Hillsborough County" ... not Tampa, Temple Terrace or Plant City mentioned on the recording you will hear.
SHRUBS AND VEHICLES:
If you have a shut-off valve on your hose so you have to stand and hold it while watering, you can then irrigate shrubs and plants, anytime of any day you want. Just don't leave the water running.
Washing of cars, trucks and other mobile equipment is allowed once a week. At a residential property, vehicle washing may occur on Tuesday or Saturday at addresses ending in even numbers, and Wednesday or Sunday at addresses ending in odd numbers. Low-volume methods must be used, such as fitting your hose with an automatic shut-off nozzle.
You may not water-clean your house, wash your driveway or your sidewalk. Remove mold from your roof only by power washing; this is generally best done by a professional.
For a complete list of regulations, call 275-7094.
6. Trash, Yard Waste and Recyclables All such waste is collected from your home by a private contractor, Liberty Waste Management, hired by the county. You pay for the service annually along with your Personal Property Tax. You should have a blue trash bin and a green trash bin. If you do not, call 248-2820. The County Solid Waste Management can be reached at 272-5680. Household Trash: Pickup from the foot of your driveway is on Wednesday and Saturday mornings (sometimes quite early!). Most families use a regular garbage can with a plastic yard bag to help the truck crews keep things neat.
Yard Waste: Should be bundled and tied for easy handling with nothing longer than 4 feet in length. Pickup is on Saturdays from the foot of your driveway. Do not wrap your yard waste in plastic or plastic bags.
Recyclables: Pickup is only on Wednesday mornings. BLUE BIN for newspapers, magazines, catalogs, telephone books, corrugated cardboard, brown paper bags, mixed office paper and junk mail.
GREEN BIN for plastic bottles and jugs (resin types 1 & 2 only as stamped on the bottom, steel (“tin”) cans and aluminum cans. No crystal or ceramics.
7. CA DUES
The annual membership dues for 2008 are $245 per member.
In years when an increase in dues is proposed by the CA Board, all CA Members are invited to vote on the increase by the first Wednesday of December of the year preceeding the year of increase. Dues should be paid during the month of January. After January 31, a penalty amount is added to the approved dues amount.
